It is our tradition to hold a Welcome Back Dinner to receive all the new teachers and parents, and at the same time welcome our "old" teachers and parents back to school after a long summer break. This year approximately 160 people attended this fun-filled event which included performances from the Cheerleading club and the "Cadenza" club.

This year, the PTA helped with the Halloween celebration by sponsoring game booths and providing snacks and drinks.

This was the fourth year we held this annual event and it surpassed all the others with over 2,000 attendees! Our theme this year was an International one. There were 74 stalls featuring international games such as: Chilean ball toss, Japanese sumo wrestling, origami, American basketball drills, and Egyptian Cartouche. The international food stalls offered Brazilian, Jamaican, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Peruvian, Singaporean, Taiwanese and American food. Representatives of the Kaohsiung World Games 2009 performed mini game previews of gymnastics featuring ball, hoop, club, rope and ribbon exercises as well as dance sports. Entertainment for the Fun Fair was provided by our very own KAS student performers from various groups/clubs.

Our primary goal this year was to donate a substantial amount towards the purchase of a school bus for the Eden Social Welfare Foundation - Fongshan Children's Intervention Center. We are proud to announce that we contributed NT 350,000 towards their new bus!

Every year the PTA holds in the Cafetorium a Thanksgiving Lunch for the faculty and students of both the Elementary and Secondary Schools. Children enjoyed pumpkin pies, turkey and a great community atmosphere!

The PTA also sponsors KTV events where the parents who work so hard volunteering for school events get to relax with a little karaoke.

Our PTA Youth Camp was held on April 28-29, 2007. We had over 65 participants! The camp was held at Cheng-Ching Lake Youth Activity Center with the goal of cultivating in participants, an interest in nature through activities and challenges. Through these activities, participants picked up problem-solving skills, experienced the wonders of life sciences, and improved independent thinking skills.
