KAS strives to be one of the finest American International schools in Asia…
The Vision we adopted at the Annual General Meeting of the association (AGM) in April 2010, is rapidly becoming a reality for our school. Under the fine leadership of Dr. Thomas Farrell and his administrative team, we have seen the school make strides in becoming just that.
We are looking forward to graduating our first IB Diploma students in June. Not a small achievement for both students and faculty. Together they’ve worked hard to adapt to the rigors of this widely recognized Diploma that is slated to significantly enhance the chances of our students to enroll in prestigious universities in the US and elsewhere.
We are closely monitoring the integration of technology into our curriculum in order to assure our students are well equipped to collaborate with students around the world, and prepare them for a job-market that increasingly relies on enhanced digital skills.
Our Extra Curricular program continues to expand, and assure the all-rounded education we seek to provide for the outstanding talent that is eminent in our student body.
The KAS Board of Directors is comprised of 9 to 11 members, at least 7 of which are directly elected by the Association Members, parents of KAS students. We are very pleased that the American State Department is also permanently represented on our Board, this year in the person of Gary Oba, head of the Kaoshiung office of the AIT.
The Board is extremely confident that Dr. Farrell’s leadership qualities will continue to move our school forward in the right direction. If you have any queries regarding the day-to-day operation of the school, please seek assistance on appropriate levels. Our Monthly Board meetings are always open, and all Association Members are welcome to attend these as observers.
