Kaohsiung American School (KAS) is a private, non-profit PreK-12 school accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in California, USA.
The Kaohsiung American School 's elementary division begins with the PreK class (four-year-old children) through grade 5.
Students in all grades receive classes from specialists each week in technology, science, art, music, and physical education. In addition, students receive Chinese language or ELL (if needed) for a maximum of 220 minutes a week.
KAS offers a college preparatory program. There is a community service requirement for graduation. There are also a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including athletics, music, drama, Model United Nations, National Honor Society, Student Council, and specific interest groups.
