Recognizing that school is more than an accumulation of credits and extra-curricular activities, KAS has implemented a Community Services Graduation Requirement.

Our purpose: Students who are involved in serving others will develop beyond an egocentric worldview and recognize that stewardship produces benefits - personally and to the community.

To meet the KAS Community Service Graduation Requirement, students must perform at least forty (40) hours of community service during their four years of high school.
- These hours will need to be verified, documented, and signed-off by the KAS Community Service Coordinator.
- At least 75% (thirty hours) of these must benefit the community outside of KAS.

Community Service: a definition
In order to qualify for community service, the student must engage in an activity that further develops his/her moral and ethical character by giving service to others.
