Elementary
Students may participate in the following elementary core activities: Fun Sports, Swimming, Drama, Music and Student Council. In addition, there are a number of other activities offered each quarter such us: Shakespeare for Kids, Playground Games, Board Games, Storybook Activities, Christmas Card Making, and Indoor Fun Games.
Grades 6 to 8
Students may participate in a series of island-wide sporting events held under the jurisdiction of Taiwan Expatriate Athletics in Middle Schools (TEAMS). A typical TEAMS schedule of athletic events will include tournaments in volleyball, softball, soccer and basketball, while some invitational events, such as cross-country, may also be scheduled. These events are hosted by international schools around Taiwan ; therefore, usually involve some travel for KAS teams.
Grades 9-12
Similar island-wide sports tournaments are presented for the enjoyment of high school students. Such students participate either at the Junior Varsity (JV) level (grade 10 and 11), or at the Junior Varsity B (JVB) level (grade 9); Grade 12 students are usually accepted through a special dispensation granted by the tournament director. Basketball and Track and Field are offered for both boys and girls, while there are also tournaments for boy's soccer and girl's volleyball.
This year, as a new member of ACAMIS, our high school students will be able to participate in athletic, academic and cultural events off-island.
Extra-curricular activities other than sports are provided in the following areas: National Honor Society, Student Council, Model United Nations, Drama, Athletic Council, Celebration Club, Environmental Club, Dance Club
